EX-PROOF 3-POLE MANUAL RESET FAILSAFE TEMPERATURE LIMITER

These devices automatically switch off the current in the controlled circuit as the pre-set temperature limit is reached, thus preventing overheating. Once the defection of the temperature regulation was repaired, and the device has cooled down to room-temperature, in voltage-free state, the limiter / protective guard can be re-started manually.

Working temperature range: 0 – 350 °C

Areas of application:

– heat pumps
– water heaters
– hot water storage tanks.

Trouble-free operation is conditioned by proper heat transfer between the protective limiter’s sensor and the controlled medium. In case of capillary-damage or liquid-leakage, the device will cut the circuit one last time as positive safety-feature.

Description

These devices are suitable for operation in explosion-proof and flammable environment (e.g. heat-pumps with R290 refrigerant), as they are housed within an enclosure sealed with a special resin. They automatically switch off the current in the controlled circuit as the pre-set temperature limit is reached, thus preventing overheating. Once the defection of the temperature regulation was repaired, in voltage-free state, the limiter / protective guard can be re-started manually. Important: the reset function should only be operated after the sensor has cooled down to room-temperature, otherwise the forced reset will cause fatal damage to the device.

Working temperature range: 0- 130 °C

Areas of application:
– heat-pumps or other devices requiring explosion-proof protection.
